Forever a Student
When I was 16, I took a World Religions class in high school. Our homework one night was to try to meditate. I sat in front of a lit candle in my bedroom, door closed, while my mother proceeded to vacuum outside in the hallway. I remember immediately liking the feeling of sitting and breathing, while being immensely frustrated by the distraction outside my door.
