Austerlitz, New York, United States
Promoting the vitality of the arts and the development of writers, visual artists, and composers by providing a retreat for creative work.
The Millay Colony for the Arts is an artists residency program and arts center founded in 1973 and located on the former property of Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Edna St. Vincent Millay. 2013 marks the Millay Colony's 40th anniversary nourishing the widest possible range of artists. We have already hosted more than 2,500 artists, composers, and writers of all stripes. We also have a vibrant series of workshops at our campus and in NYC, and free arts programs in our local public schools.
