<p style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 150%;" align="CENTER"> </p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 150%;" align="JUSTIFY"><span style="font-family: Cochin;"><span style="font-size: small;">Miguel was born in Puebla, Mexico. He is a multiple grant recipient from the National Council for Culture and Arts CONACULTA and from the National Fund for Culture and Arts FONCA in Mexico. He has been a scholarship recipient from the American Dance Festival in various occasions. Miguel is also a freelance translator and a Certified Pilates Instructor. He has presented his work in venues and festivals around Mexico, United States, Sweden and France.</span></span></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 150%;" align="JUSTIFY"><span style="font-family: Cochin;"><span style="font-size: small;">Miguel became a member of Claudio Valdés Kuri's renowned theatre troupe Teatro de Ciertos Habitantes in 2005, where he worked for five years. In 2007, he became a member and collaborator of </span></span><span style="font-family: Cochin;"><span style="font-size: small;"><em>m:m danza-teatro</em></span></span><span style="font-family: Cochin;"><span style="font-size: small;"> led by artist Mayra Morales, also in Mexico. He has had the honor to work with artists Denisse Cárdenas, Kate Jewett, Heather Maloney, Alicia Marván, Zap McConnell, Dahlia Nayar, Rubén Ornelas, Amira Ramírez, Lourdes Roth, Paulina Rucarba, Ray Eliot Schwartz, Jason Akira Somma, Allison Waddell, Sharon Zuckerman Weisser and Jesse Zaritt. </span></span></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 150%;" align="JUSTIFY"><span style="font-family: Cochin;"><span style="font-size: small;">During the Spring of 2012, Miguel will be part of Jardin d'Europe's DanceWEB Scholarship Programme under the tutorship of Benoît Lachambre and he will as well be an active participant at the ImPulsTanz in Vienna, Austria. In the Fall of 2012, Miguel will join the Solo Performance Commissioning Project, in Findhorn, Scotland, under the direction of Deborah Hay.</span></span></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 150%;" align="JUSTIFY"><span style="font-family: Cochin;"><span style="font-size: small;">Miguel graduated Magna Cum Laude with both BFAs in Theatre and Dance from Universidad de las Américas Puebla, Mexico. He currently spends his time traveling and making work while figuring things out, living between Mexico, New York City and Tel Aviv, Israel.</span></span></p>
