kerPlunk dance is a collective of experienced dancers from all over the country that have somehow found their way to the urbanized chaos that is New York City.&nbsp; Dancing and improvising is what we do best!<br>Katherine Richardson is the Artistic Director and choreographer of kerPlunk dance, a contemporary dance company based in Queens NY.&nbsp;&nbsp; Acclaimed for creating work that is “unusually honest in performance…” as well as “physically and musically striking… “ (Tina Heuges Bracciale, Winged Woman Dance), kerplunk dance has found its voice through physical exertion, paired with a passion for articulating dynamic shifts within our society and environmental landscape.&nbsp; Performing an array of expressive choreography, with vigorous partnering, cascading jumps, and swelling floor work, Katherine’s work both individually and alongside kerPlunk dance has found audiences at various Universities and theaters across the East Coast.&nbsp;&nbsp; <br><br>In it’s inaugural year, The company has performed at places such as Jacob’s Pillow Inside/ Out Stage, The Painted Bride Theater, John Ryan Theater, Gershwin Hotel, and New York City Center Studios.&nbsp; kerPlunk dance is currently working with&nbsp; the Atlantic Brass Quintet, and is actively creating a body of work showcasing the classical styling’s from the Renaissance and Baroque periods.&nbsp; All of which will premiere in 2012.<br><br>In 2010, kerPlunk became the proud member of The Field’s Sponsored Artists Program!&nbsp; Go to Support Us! for more information.<br>
