<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Jesse Macht has been writing songs and recording them since high school but after joining brothers in arms, formed a band, and played guitar and wrote for “Burn Down the Mission” (myspace.com/burndownthemission) in conjunction with his independent song-writing. </strong></span></p> <p class="p1"><strong>Went to University at Wash U. in St. Louis, lived in Brooklyn NY for a while, got flooded out of the city and moved back to Los Angeles... and been making music the whole time.</strong></p> <p class="p2"><strong>His music bares a melancholy optimism that regards the struggle of following our dreams, enjoying life, creating art, and meanwhile, questioning our roles and responsibilities as men and women in our everyday lives and interaction with friends, coworkers, loved ones, and strangers. Influenced by songwriters such as Jon Brion, Glen Hansard, Gram Parsons, Neil Young, Billy Joel, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, James Taylor and many more, Jesse’s music aspires to follow a long tradition of challenge, love, and introspection through the art of song.</strong></p>
