urban love monk: a year of receiving what's given

Martha Kay is spending her 39th year committed to serious spiritual practice. Instead of heading to the monastery, she's invited the rhythm of monastic life into the community she already inhabits. MK took both Christian and Buddhist vows before her support council in July. Her entire year is devoted to daily prayer and practice; the intent is to slow down, get quiet and listen for God. Out of this adventure a book will grow, exploring what can happen if we just give the whole shebang to Love.
