Her parents, theatrical veterans, enjoyed successful careers as Broadway dancers before </font><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101">opening a<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(77, 77, 77); "><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101"> studio of performing arts called Broadway Bound, where Shevaun studied dance, voice and acting, striving to become a triple-threat performer. Following in their footsteps, she went on to leading roles in such musicals as </font><i><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101">On the Town, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast</font></i><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101">, and </font><i><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101">West Side Story</font></i><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101">. She originated the role of Cinderella in the world premiere of Disney’s “Cinderella,” and toured the world, performing in song and dance revues featuring the distinctive dance stylings of Fosse, and the iconic pop-rock hits of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. </font></span></font></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(1, 1, 1); "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(77, 77, 77); "><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101">Shevaun was also offered a contract with </font><i><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101">Sony Worldwide</font></i><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101"> to be the lead singer of a Euro-Pop girl group called </font><i><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101">5 Starr <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#000000">in 2005.</font></span></font></i></span></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(1, 1, 1); ">She moved out to Los Angeles about 4 years ago, and has found her passion in life - filmmaking. Her mother, a writer, used to say "You begin with a need to be heard; a constant yearning to express yourself uniquely, and a hunger to go the distance until people will pay attention and listen to what you are trying to say. You take such a need and tailor it to your respective talent and skill set, and then assert yourself. Be a pioneer first and then learn to make money doing it."</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101">Now, years later, Shevaun is in the midst of heeding that advice and writing her own recipe for success. Shevaun completed two scripts before writing her last film, </font><i><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101">Conversations With Lucifer<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;">, <font class="Apple-style-span" color="#000000">which she then produced</font></span></font></i><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101">. In fall of 2009 she started her own production company </font><a href="http://www.madaboutpictures.com/"><i><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101">Mad About Pictures</font></i></a><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101">. </font></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101"><br></font></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#010101">She has worked with some of the industry’s finest, but is continually working to hone her skills as a writer for screen and expand her cinematic eye. Her script The Mourning Hour, has already received early acclaim. It was named a Finalist for the Roy W. Dean LA Film Grant and WON the Slugline International Short Screenplay competition.
