In January 2013 I went to live, work and travel throughout South Africa. As a seasoned business woman I was very curious about Africa. Africa dominates the headlines. They are among the world’s poorest 4 billion people, base of the pyramid (BoP), which up until now were seen as charities and incapable of helping themselves. Nothing beats seeing, living and looking into the eyes of those we have only heard about in headlines, it is the only way to experience their needs from their perspective.
