He moved to Wiltshire when he was six and attended school nearby. He was involved in lots of school plays and studied Drama for GCSE and A Level. He joined the National Youth Theatre, before going to Edinburgh to take a Masters Degree in Philosophy. Whilst there he was heavily involved in student theatre performing in over twenty shows as well as several at the Fringe. He attended the National Student Drama Festival with puppetry company Pangolin's Teatime who won awards for Best Director and Best Ensemble. After graduating he moved to New York for a year where he trained as an actor at The Barrow Group and with acting teacher Sondra Lee. Since being back in London he continues his training at the Actors Temple in the Meisner technique.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> </div> </div> <div class="mhl"> <div class="mvm uiP fsm"> <p><span class="fwb">Description</span></p> <p><span class="fwb">&nbsp;</span></p> </div> <div id="id_501f06258af6e6d92876130" class="text_exposed_root text_exposed">Alex has performed in numerous plays including Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, The Dog in the Manger, She Stoops to Conquer, Limehouse Nights, Closer, Age of Consent, Equus, Rich Isn't Easy, Elegies of Angels and Guys and Dolls - as well as pieces of new writing by Lucy Kirkwood and Ella Hickson. He has played leading roles in award winning short films like&nbsp; <div class="text_exposed_show">Alleyman, Home Sweet Home, Pink Slip and Suspended and has been involved in many commercials and music videos.&nbsp;<br /><br />He wrote and directed his first play, The Space in Between, at Edinburgh in 2007 which then transfered to the Orange Tree Theatre in London. He has written another play called Then It Started to Snow which he hopes to produce next year. He continues to work on various other scripts.&nbsp;<br /><br />Happy Accident was his first film as a writer/director and was completed in December 2011 . It is a family drama and stars Tuyen Do (My Father the Communist), Kate Fahy (Archipelago), Tim McInnerney (Notting Hill) and himself. It has received very positive reviews and is currently under consideration for the London Film Festival.&nbsp;<br /><br />His second film Synchronicity (previously Ella and Louis) is in production and will be finished by the end of the year.</div> </div> </div>
