I've played contact sports my whole life and I still do. I know firsthand how head impact and sports concussions can affect the mind and body over time. I am also a concerned parent of three active teens who all participate in contact sports. I don't want them to have to go through what I've been through. By bringing awareness to the issue of concussion, I hope to help other concerned parents whose children participate in high impact sports with concussion risk, and put an end to the trend.
