I like to make things. Undergrad biophysics and CS (graphics and AI). Left Bay Area at height of dot com boom to work on biology. Grad work in protein structure by X-ray crystallography to figure out how cell membranes fuse. Returned to Bay Area. Worked at the ground zero of synthetic biology, focused on systems biology of information handling by biological systems. Co-founded an early-stage algae biofuel company. Got fracked by fracking. Now trying to change the world again, but with food.
