<p>Baan Unrak, which means "House of Joy" in Thai, is a non-government, non-political, non-religious, community development project founded in 1991, to serve the people in need of Sangklaburi, Thailand.</p> <p>The surrounding area suffers from instability as families are destroyed by disease, poverty and cultural changes. Many destitute women cannot support their children alone and try to sell or give them away. Some turn to prostitution to solve their economic problems. Baan Unrak reaches out to those in need and offers a positive solution to ensure a better future for them.</p> <p>Our primary mission is to provide food, housing, emotional support and opportunities to over 140 children. </p> <p>For more information please visit our website : <a href="http://www.baanunrak.org/">http://www.baanunrak.org/</a></p> <p style="margin-left: 60px;"><img id="internal-source-marker_0.900913625923495" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/ZMiuBo1BfyKySQWuV_LtQ4sS8q0p1LbOlbKK1vT5vY_3q0KoFHgaWX75j5iqmY4kyhIoLCZ7c0oKO9P-PZs0id2WNxHcyUa1fz3BCdDtmAOvkL7ChMY" alt="" width="324" height="391" /></p> <p style="margin-left: 60px;"> The sign to Baan Unrak Children's Village</p> <p><img id="internal-source-marker_0.4828151390743467" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/xOdsCm7hvoW2ISVUo6JYLxLTb2u0tCNczakMaEOBwrzihmAGI4Y_Y6RdOnocybTJ-Ja9aVhS7t8vKGlrVG_8ow2qMXhb0tKsXOk6nV3IdAGuCoE2ymI" alt="" width="537" height="309" /></p> <p> Some of our children posing in front of the main entrance</p>
