Trans Identified Activist and Health Professional
<p>Jae has been a tireless activist for LGBT and particularly FTM communities for nearly 10 years. He moved from the Midwest to the Bay area in August 2011 immediately after earning his second Master's degree. Jae earned an MA focusing on Transgender Identity at Purdue in 2009 and an MPH focusing on Transgender Health in 2011 at University of Illinois at Chicago.</p> <p>One of his most recent accomplishments was to lead policy change on campus at UIC, successfully adding transgender benefits to the student health plan (unfortunately for him they did not go into effect until after he graduated).</p> <p>He currently is interviewing with the San Francisco Department of Public Health for a long career and enjoys working with tm4m and as a volunteer HIV Testing Counselor at Alliance Health Project (formerly AIDS Health Project) on their mobile van. </p>
