Hi, I am Nadya. I am a proud mama of a 5 year old girl, and a 6 year old boy. I work as the Development and Marketing Associate at MotherWoman by day and a as Yoga instructor by night.

I am inspired by a deep sense of community that MotherWoman helps create, a community in which a mother and her family are received with open arms, where they feel heard and supported. In this age of great mobility, many of us have left our ‘village,’ maintaining only a virtual relationship with our own family and old friends. If we are not separated by miles and oceans, then we may feel a cultural or a generational gap, which prevents us from relying on our old support systems. MotherWoman gives me hope in that even in our highly mobile communities, a village can be built where mothers will feel accepted and understood by their peers, where we can speak freely about their worries without being judged, and where they can find trust and receive care from those whose mission is to help.
