Follow Your Dreams and don't let anybody tell you different

HI,

My name is David Christiansson and I am a student at the New York Film Academy.

I've had a passion for movies since I first began watching them. As I am watching a movie, I get so engaged in its world and its magic that it is almost impossible for someone to distract me from it.

I am a huge fan of Fantasy movies, with mysterious and epic tales of old. I plan to create and realize those stories. More over the years, I find myself also interested in making horror movies. My philosophy is that if I can make a horror movie that scares me plenty. I will consider the result satisfying. I also love creating love stories and comedies. Filmmaking is great!!

I am originally from Sweden so, going to the USA to learn and do filmmaking was something I always wanted to do. I did not want to go anywhere else but to the US.

In summer 2010, I completed the 8 Weeks Filmmaking Workshop at the New York Film Academy in New York City. The objective was to experience if filmmaking really was my real interest? I realized that I was even more passionate for filmmaking; building and then creating it; as I was before I took the class. I also found out that directing and leading a group of people to realize a film was something I was good at. I adored those 8 Weeks and therefore came back in september 2011 to pursue my dream.

After finishing my year at the New York Film Academy, I am adding the POST OPTIONAL PRACTICAL TRAINING, which will add one full year to leverage my skills more.

After that I plan to follow the same road map as the other big filmmakers have taken by doing smaller projects and jobs such as making commercials, music videos.

I want in the same explore the new trend to transform text into web-based spot movies and also conduct short movies that can be presented at various film festivals to make me known.

Best,

David
