He is also the Executive Director of Austin Bat Cave, a writing and tutoring center for kids ages six to eighteen located in Austin, TX, and the founder of the Austin Writer's Lab, a collective of writing workshop instructors and classes for writers, beginning through advanced, living in Central Texas. He lives in Austin with his wife and two kids.
