Student Filmmaker

Anna Mace Producer/Director/ Writer Anna’s first endeavor as a writer, director and producer of a short play for a local charity spurred recognition in her hometown when she was at the ripe age of six, but it didn’t end there. Her interests in the creative process began when she was young and as she grew so did her persistence. Anna officially began her filmmaking career in high school but she began her formal filmmaking training at Pace University. While attending Pace, she completed many short experimental videos during her first year while acting in a plethora of student and professional films and videos in New York and New Jersey. She wrote, directed and produced first narrative 16mm short film “White Flag” in the middle of her sophomore year and achieved great praise from faculty and peers alike. She currently works at VSM Productions as the Outreach Assistant for the independent documentary film “Hidden Battles”. She attends Hunter College as a film major and plans to graduate in 2013 and use her skills to collaborate with other professionals to see a project through from inception to distribution and finally, to recognition.

Sarah Luce Cinematographer/Producer/Writer Sarah fell in love with video editing in 2007 during her freshman year at Keystone College in La Plume, Pennsylvania. The head of the media department had given all the communication majors a camera and told them to go film something. He then taught them how to capture and cut footage into Adobe Premier Pro. For the next two years, Sarah chose to do videos for each of her extra, honor's program end of semester project. One semester she did a personal piece on a friend, the next she made a short documentary interviewing people about Voltaire's Candide and how we are each the "Candide" of our own life, and lastly she endeavored to create a roughly 25-minute romantic short which she wrote, directed, filmed, edited, and created a trailer. Since being back in the city, Sarah has been busy studying film history, structure, and production at Hunter College and Brooklyn College. In 2009 she was given the privilege of interning on a short called Class Trip which was directed by a respected Swedish Film Maker. This was an incredible experience and taught her a lot about being out in the field and the responsibilities that each member of a production has. Aside from this, Sarah wrote, shot, and edited a 2 minute 16mm black and white film called Her, and is in the pre-production stages of a very exciting 16mm sync sound short where she will have her debut as director of photography.
