<p><strong>Amanda Acorn</strong> is a graduate of the School of Toronto Dance Theatre and the Canadian College of Performing Arts. She has spent time training in Montreal and in Europe at the Impulstanz Festival in Vienna and with anouk van djik dc in Amersterdam. Amanda has worked independently developing work and performing with Meryem Alaoui, Susie Burpee, Kaeja d’Dance, Lady Janitor, Andrea Spaziani, Cara Spooner and Heidi Strauss. She joined the DSW Dance Lab in Calgary in the Spring of 2010, participating in labs with Helen Husak and Jason Stroh. Amanda is enjoying her first season as a company member at Dancemakers in Toronto with artistic director, Michael Trent.</p> <p>Amanda has created two dance films with filmmaker, Yoann Malnati as well as creating the choreography for <em>Shiva</em>, a Bravo!fact short directed by Zachary Finkelstein.
