Speak Up

This is not a ladylike thing to do.

It isn’t appropriate to speak loudly about subjects that make others uncomfortable. It would probably be classier to just hold my tongue. Afterall, a lady doesn’t want to be a burden. But then again, I’m not interested in manners and I’ve never been one for making polite films.

I’m Samantha and I’m an independent filmmaker from West Chester, PA. Shortly after releasing my first film in August, 2010, I was sexually assaulted and my life changed drastically. I lost my job, my confidence, several relationships and nearly all of my identity.

After almost two years of silence and recovery, I decided to speak up and make a film that shows the side effects of sexual assault and rape.
