The festival showcases an impressive line-up of short and feature films (narrative, documentary & animation) by established and emerging talent, and champions, marginalized artists including aboriginal, visible minority and lesbian filmmakers.</SPAN><SPAN style="LINE-HEIGHT: 115%; FONT-SIZE: 10pt; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial" lang=EN-CA> </SPAN><SPAN style="LINE-HEIGHT: 115%; FONT-SIZE: 10pt" lang=EN-CA>Kicking off with an Opening Night Film & Reception, this year’s program is packed with Pitch Sessions, New Media Day panel discussions, Talk Back sessions with Directors, and an Industry Showcase, all culminating with a special screening in celebration of International Women's Day. Currently, women make up only 32% of the labour force in the film and television industry, with far lower numbers for key, above the line roles.
