A 7-time Grammy-winning saxophonist, Paul Winter's sextet performed first ever jazz concert at the White House in 1962. After recording several other jazz and boss nova albums, he formed the Paul Winter Consort in 1967. The ground-breaking ensemble interwove sounds from the natural world with classical and ethnic traditions, and the spontaneous spirit of jazz. He has released more than 40 albums, and his Winter and Summer Solstice Celebrations are among the most popular annual events in NYC.
