Passed Over: Exodus Hits The Streets

I've been writing songs and stories for stage and screen all my life. A veteran of both the BMI and ASCAP Musical Theater Workshops, I was the co-Composer and Music Director for the PBS experimental music theater series Hip Pocket Musicals, starring such Broadway luminaries as Patti Lupone, Priscilla Lopez, Martin Vidnovic, Lonnie Price, and Walter Bobby. Bette Midler and Patti Lupone have performed my songs all over the world. When the Divine Miss M booked her recent Las Vegas extravaganza, she hired me to compose a new opening number.

I moved from New York City to Los Angeles and became a contributing Producer for Nickelodeon’s groundbreaking anthology series Oh Yeah, Cartoons!, creating 10 stand-alone shorts, all of them musical. I was Co-Creator and Executive Producer of Nick’s animated hit show ChalkZone, for which I wrote over 100 songs (the show was often made up of little mini-musicals.) I also wrote the script, music and lyrics for a feature-length animated musical "The Electric Piper" which premiered on the Nickelodeon Network.

I have written music and comedy material for Tim Curry, Rodney Dangerfield, Woody Woodpecker and Casper the Friendly Ghost, to name but a few. I composed full length ballets for the James Sewell Ballet company and the renowned theatrical dance troupe Rosanna Gamson WorldWide. In recent years, I have been commissioned by the Skirball Cultural Center to compose musical plays about the Jewish holidays Sukkot and Hanukkah. "Esther’s Destiny", a Purim musical, has been performed in many venues nation wide, including a kashered version for Chabad.
