Aly has lived in the Grenadines since 2011, working with local stakeholders on each of the inhabited transboundary islands to collect data on important historical, cultural, and ecological heritage sites for use in the countries’ joint application for designation as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. As an award-winning cartographer focused on participatory mapping in island and coastal environments, Aly is skilled in the collection of local knowledge and community outreach strategies.
