Inspired by the book and PBS documentary “Half the Sky,” AnnaLea Arnold and Kate Luhr looked for a way to combine their backgrounds in comedy, storytelling and producing to give the women of the world a louder voice. While serious and heart-wrenching documentaries about the global challenges confronting us are essential for raising awareness, “Broadly Speaking” takes the opposite route, one that leaves listeners laughing while also providing tangible ways to bring about change.
