Interdisciplinary - Ensemble - Performance
<p>force/collision is an interdisciplinary ensemble of artists whose mission of the creation of new performance work. </p> <p>force/collision was launched in August 2011 from the Cultural Development Corporation funded "Collapsing Silence" - an experimental dance/theatre work which premiered at the 2011 Source Theatre Festival in Washington, D.C. Ensemble members include Karin Rosnizeck, Frank Britton, Dane Figueroa Edidi, Ilana Faye Silverstein, Daniel Paul Lawson, Collin Ranney, Joshua Sticklin and John Moletress. </p> <p>force/collision has read new work at the Kennedy Center by Erik Ehn. Their first full production was "The Nautical Yards", a large-scale site specific dance/theatre performance in the historical Washington Navy Yard in April 2012 - funded in part by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts. </p> <p>Their next project, the world premiere of "Shape" will be performed at Atlas Performing Arts Center September 20-October 6 and then move to La MaMa ETC in NYC in November 2012. </p> <p> </p>
