Go for it.

As a young kid I lived in California and saw Star Wars. It made a huge impression on me. I started drawing spaceships and airplanes on everything and twenty years later I graduated as an aircraft designer.

I very much enjoyed working on the design of aircraft for several years... but inside me another dream had started growing. The dream to combine all the things I loved -poetry, photography, painting, music, storytelling, design, psychology, exploring nature, exploring the universe- into a single activity: filmmaking.

When I was thirty-three, I decided to quit my job and go for it. The road to becoming a filmmaker has been a long, beautiful struggle, with many challenges and many highlights... shooting my first feature film 'Nu.' with my friends and family; Winning thw top prize at the European Independent Film Festival, reading Variety's great review of the film; working with my windsurfing friends from a tiny Moroccan fishing village on the script of my second feature 'Land.'; being invited to the Sundance Lab and Binger Filmlab with this script... all these things have made the suffering and rejections that are also part of this business worth while.

Now, on the eve of shooting 'Land.', I look back with intense joy and pride. I am so glad I set out on this journey and I wish you all the courage and joy in the world on yours.
