<p><strong><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black;">Fran Tarr </span></strong><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black;">(Director/Producer) Fran is a writer, artist and educator. </span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman';">For fourteen years she was the Education Director for the Women�s Project and has been Education Coordinator at the prestigious Atlantic Theater Company since 1995. Under her direction the Women�s Project program grew from 2 schools in 1995 to 80 schools by 2008; the Atlantic�s Students & Educator program continues to expand each school year. Staring in 2006 she has volunteered to lead playwriting/performance workshops in Bethlehem, Jerusalem and Grbanga City, Liberia. </span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black;"><span> </span>In 2008 Fran created <em>fran tarr productions llc</em> dedicated to �</span><em><span style="font-size: 11pt;">Giving voice to teens surviving chaos and conflict.� Her first documentary<strong> bethlehem to brooklyn: breaking the surface</strong> (2009) </span></em><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black;">was an Official Selection at the 2010 Hoboken International Film Festival. Her second (WIP-2010)</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black;"> <strong>brooklyn bridges- to bethlehem & back </strong>follows three inner-city Brooklyn teens who </span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman';">traveled to meet with their peers in Bethlehem. Using words to combat and describe their daily struggles, they discovered how a grassroots movement can empower the lives of children living in chaos and conflict. <strong>brooklyn bridges- to bethlehem & back</strong> positive response has led Fran to create <strong><em>breaking walls </em></strong>- a social activism writing/performance program. The first <strong><em>breaking walls</em></strong> workshop will take place in Berlin, Germany in the summer of 2012, and will be facilitated by Brooklyn and Bethlehem youths from <strong>brooklyn bridges</strong>. Fran is a proud member of NYWIFT and IFC. </span></p>
