Teacher Become a Student to Teach again!
<div> <h3>Short Summary</h3> <p>Please help if you can!</p> <p>I have been a teacher of children with special needs most of my life in the public schools. I have taught in the Headstart program for many years. That is a Federal program for low income, high risk preschoolers that works with the whole family and the whole child.</p> <p>I have also been a Resource Teacher at the elementary and middle school level, working with kids who have difficulty learning. I LOVE working with kids! As much as I enjoyed that, there is a deeper level of education that is needed for kids...someone who really listens and understands their pain and hurt. Someone they can be vulnerable with. We often treat ourselves the way we were treated as small children for the rest of our lives. We cannot fix what we do not acknowledge. I am that person they can be vulnerable with and will help them explore their feelings so that healing can occur. </p> <p>If I could have anything I wanted, my number one request would be for adults to understand and be compassionate about the pain that kids go through in their lives. Even kids who come from wonderful, loving homes experience pain and misunderstanding in their lives. It can be really painful to be a kid! As adults, some of us have forgotten what it was like to be small and have no control over our lives and have to pretend to be someone else in order to be loved, when all along, you were perfect the way you were!</p> <p>The picture I have included is me with my amazing dog, Lady, who stood by me every step of my journey through school. She watched over me and protected me and encouraged me. She developed Cancer and I gave her permission to go. she tried to stay until the end, but she was in too much pain. I had to say goodbye. I had never before experienced this kind of dedication from an animal.</p> <p>I'm almost done with my Master's Program at the University of Santa Monica in Santa Monica, CA. I have funded this program for a year and a half and I have run out of funds to finish. I need your help to finish this two year program. This program is designed to help me answer these questions:</p> <ul> <li>Who am I?</li> <li>What is my purpose?</li> <li>What meaningful contribution can I make to the world?</li> </ul> <p>I have answered these questions for myself and I want to make a difference in this world. Once I graduate, I will coach and counsel others to discover who they really are—their True Selves, and live their lives from that perspective. I can help you come to terms with the pain that has been within you for so many years and free the person you were meant to be.</p> </div> <div> <h3> </h3> </div>
