I was hospitalized for two months beginning December 2009. I had complications after a bowel resection (the 12th surgery I've had). I was not able to return to work until April 2010. I am a teacher. The school year (my paychecks) ended in June 2010. My insurance is not very good. The gastroenteroligist I've seen for over 20 years is not covered by my insurance, therefore I am forced to go out of network.

In November 2010, I was hospitalized again. My abdominal wall collapsed because of the numerous surgeries I have had. The surgeon had to rebuild the abdominal muscle. I suffered from complications again. This time I was hospitalized in January, ICU. Again, I was out of work. I returned in February, feeling better. However, I had lost so much weight (I am 5'5 and I weighed 99 pounds), further complications ensued (because of the Crohn's disease, I was not absorbing nutrients and suffered from severe de-hydration-liver and kidney failure in addtion to a minor heart problem-ICU). I finally returned to work, after three weeks. I seemed to be doing well, but in April, I suffered s DVT, again, in ICU for a week.

I have met the maximum out of pocket expenses for two consecutive years. My insurance is so bad. I am so in debt, I can't seem to get my head above water. I am so behind in my student loan payments, I don't know what I am going to do. I would be so appreciative of any help I receive.
