I've long subscribed to the belief that if you want to be a filmmaker, you should have something to say.
I grew up immersing myself in the classic films of the 20s to the 50s. Learned the craft of acting in the 60s (from Stella Adler, Jeff Corey and William Hickey.) Studied writing and directing at the world-renown Pasadena Playhouse and UCLA in the 70s. Taught the craft of on-camera acting and filmmaking for 36 years, directing, producing, photographing over 150 thesis films. Starred in over 300 films, TV shows & plays. Filmmaking is a permanent appendage. I'm just getting warmed up.
