<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: separate; color: rgb(24, 62, 124); font-family: Baskerville; font-size: 15px; line-height: 20px; "><span style="font-family: Baskerville; font-size: 10pt; "><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: medium; ">E</span></b>lias Benavidez is an independent writer/director originally from Mesa, Arizona. After graduating with a BFA Degree in Media Arts at the University of Arizona, he moved to Los Angeles where he has gained film experience at Marvel Studios (<i>Spider-Man 2</i>, <i>X-Men: The Last Stand</i>, and <i>Fantastic Four</i>) and Zucker-Netter Productions (<i>Scary Movie 3</i>), and has also garnered professional theatre experience from the Broadway company PLUS Entertainment in New York City where he worked on <i>Shout! The Mod Musical.</i> Most recently, he learned the business side of the industry at the film agency Dattner & Dispoto (<i>Benjamin Button’s</i></span><span style="font-family: Baskerville; font-size: 10pt; "> Claudio Miranda, <i>The Wrestler’s </i></span><span style="font-family: Baskerville; font-size: 10pt; ">Maryse Alberti), just finished working on the Jon Favreau film <i>Cowboys & Aliens, </i>and is currently working on Oren Moverman's <i>Rampart</i></span><span style="font-family: Baskerville; font-size: 10pt; ">. Creatively, he has directed several short films including <i>Just Coffee </i>(Puro Mexicano Film Festival), <i>Park Bench </i>(Cannes Film Festival, Paris Film Festival, Sedona International Film Festival), and most recently a French short entitled <i>A Note to Etienne. </i>He has also worked on several theatre productions including <i>Scenes from an Execution</i> and <i>Romeo and Juliet</i>.</span></span><br>
