Christy McCaffrey

<p>Christy McCaffrey is the founder of Project Scleroderma. In 2009 she lost her mom to an aggressive form of an autoimmune disease called Scleroderma. This painful loss inspired her to produce a documentary on the disease in an effort to raise awareness for this cause. For the past 9 months Christy has been working with her partners, New Pace Productions, communicating with Scleroderma patients, experts and support groups in an effort to create the best possible plan of action to raise awareness through this project. Social media has opened up many lines of communication and opportunities for discussion on this disease that have enabled Christy and her team to take this grass roots mission to an exciting new level of awareness. Christy intends to utilize as many avenues of social media connection to continue to spread her message and bring awareness to this very important and personal cause.</p>
