<p>Mario was born and raised in Chicago during the 1970's and was exposed to gangs, hippies and the Cultural Revolution vs. the Chicago Machine. Growing up with an all-city mentality via the local transit system he fought urban boredom at an early age by skating, dancing, low riding and tagging up the city, developing his own sense of style. At the age of 17 Mario received a full scholarship to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago while still attending high school. Later he started working at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and showing his work in galleries and museums from the late 80's to the early 90's traveling and lecturing across the country where "Zore" was born.</p> <p>Zore began painting large-scale murals throughout the states eventually living in New York, Bridgeport CT and Brazil. He has painted and showed his work throughout the UK, Europe, South America and Mexico. Zore has lived and worked in the Bay Area for the last decade creating new forms of work based on the wild styles he grew up with.&nbsp;</p> <p>Mario has been splitting his time between Chicago and the Bay Area for the last several years. He is a key organizer of the annual Chicago International Meeting of Styles and was a founding member 2ND FLR Collective and curator at 54B Gallery. He is currently painting daily in his studio at the world-renowned Zhou B Art Center and showing throughout the greater Chicagoland area.</p>
