It seems our nation’s social contract is failing low-wage and immigrant workers; that we are not all playing by the same rules; that the deck is unfairly stacked; and that the unequal outcomes in our economy have become too vast to be considered OK. There are fewer good jobs, more full-time work at poverty wages, and more wage theft. Fighting wage theft and supporting workers’ rights is, at heart, about supporting an America that honors the dignity of work, and the humanity of each person.
