1948, New York City, Philippe Halsman is taking a picture of Salvador Dali with cats.
The painting, the easel and the footstool are attached to the ceiling by the wires. Photographer's wife Ivonna is holding the chair. On count "three" assistants are throwing water and the cats, on "four" Dali jumps, Halsman shoots. Then he departs to the dark room to develop the film, while assistants are wiping down the floor and comforting cats. The cats were thrown up in the air 28 times. In the course of 6 hours. In the end, the cats were fine...the crew wasn't. Welcome to the art of film.
