I'm Julie and I’m from Copenhagen Denmark, currently living in New York.

I work in heart surgery as a nurse three month a year when I’m home in Copenhagen, and the rest of the time I’m here in New York, where I work from my studio in Brooklyn.

I work mostly with video and interactive installations. The human body is always the center of my art and I’m very interested in creating third spaces. In my video work, I use video to visualize discourses the body is influenced in sociaty. By using video installation I could emphasized for example how the limits of what was once private is getting more and more public.

I see the interactive installations or spaces, as opponents to society that are discourse free. I wish to create free spaces where people can explore certain phenomenons without noise of systems in society.

I have the amazing opportunity to build the interactive installation "Everybody Has A Sound" in life size.

This is obviously a huge thing for me personally to see something I made in small scala actually being realized, so people can be a part of it.

In my interactive installations there is nothing without participants.

I’m very grateful for any contribution.
