<p><strong>John Lundin</strong> is a spiritual writer and teacher, and an environmental activist. He is the author of <em>THE NEW MANDALA - Eastern Wisdom for Western Living</em>, written in collaboration with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. John earned his Master of Divinity degree from Chicago Theological Seminary at the University of Chicago and was ordained by the United Church of Christ. (U.C.C.) He served as a parish minister, hospital chaplain and pastoral counselor on the south side of Chicago before making his journey to Dharamsala, India, to live and study with the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Buddhist refugee community. Rev. Lundin is retired from the ministry and now teaches meditation classes and leads retreats focusing on world religions, cross-cultural spirituality and meditation. He is currently living in Minca, Colombia, in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, where he is living with the indigenous peoples of the Kogui, Arhuacos, Cankuamo, and Wiwa. John is receiving teaching from the Mamos - the Elders of these profoundly spiritual peoples - and researching and writing a book that will present their important spiritual and environmental message.</p>
