<p><br>My name is Kelley Glover and I am a former, elementary and middle school choral director, theater teacher, world music druming teacher.&nbsp; I was inspired to create a music literacy show for tweens and teens called, "U BETTER Sing! two years ago to introduce young people to careers in music, how music is related to math, science, history, and language arts, ethnomusicology (world music) and how to SIGHT-SING music! </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The animated part of U BETTER Sing! is the show's cartoon, "U BETTER Sight-Sing!" which takes place at a ficitional middle school following the lives of Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, and Ti as they teach the audience how to "audiate" and "sight-sing" music while also touching on the topics of bullying, acceptance of differences, and rehearsal/social etiquette!&nbsp; The main purpose of U BETTER Sing! as a whole is to introduce its audience to all of the possibilites they can create for their lives....to think outside of the box and explore their dreams and to never give up on your dreams in order to grow up and to get a "real job!" You don't have to completely give up music, art, dance, theater ENTIRELY when you grow up!&nbsp; And what a better way to learn math, science, history, and language arts than THROUGH the arts!! As the theme song on the show states through song:&nbsp;" U Better let your SING!&nbsp; U Better let your heart DANCE!!&nbsp; U BETTER Sing!"</p>
