Prison Radio
California, United States
Prison Radio brings prisoners into the public debate and dialogue on crime and punishment.
Prisoners are being silenced. Our radio broadcasts help spur the public to examine core issues that create crime and heighten disenfranchisement. Prison Radio's recordings of prisoners challenge unjust police and prosecutorial practices, mass incarceration and white supremacy, and our educational materials strengthen diverse movements for social change. Our work illustrates the perspectives and intrinsic human worth of the more than 7.1 million people under correctional control in the U.S.
