A Magical Night of Contemporary Art

<p><em>Art in the Open</em> is a one-day summer event that highlights Charlottetown&rsquo;s visual art scene, its downtown heritage spaces, its exhibition venues and performance companies, and its diverse cultural traditions.</p> <p>It takes place across downtown Charlottetown with focal points at Victoria Park, the Confederation Centre Art Gallery and Victoria Row, Rochford Square, and Connaught Square. Urban green spaces are highlighted and play a central role in the event.</p> <p>The focus of the event is ephemeral works of visual art. This primarily includes installations, screenings/projections, performance art, street performance and theatre, dance, portable sculpture and other temporary art forms.</p>
