Originally from Berlin, Jess de Wahls is a London based artist who creates hand-sewn and embroidered relief portraits of inspiring female role-models from up cycled clothing, a techique for which she has coined the term 'Retex Sculpture'.Encouraging social change and gender equality, exploring Feminism and embracing recycling and reuse are paramount to her practice.
