<p class="p1">OFRI BRIN/ OFRIN Biography.</p> <p class="p2">&nbsp;A small village in northern Israel is not your most common starting point when it comes to a musical journey whose current lag involves powerful vocals , soft electro, african beats, a Bulgarian choir, nordic electronics and some gentle giant masks. Then again, being unique is something singer-songwriter Ofri Brin of OFRIN is quite used to.&nbsp;</p> <p class="p3">Born and raised in a scenic and secluded community,&nbsp;Ofri discovered her voice at the age of 14 - and soon everyone around her did just the same. After taking part in several musical projects in Israel and The UK, Ofri moved in 2005 to Berlin, where she teamed up with composer Oded K.dar. They established OFRIN, sharing their musical vision over a period of five years.</p> <p class="p3">OFRIN's highly acclaimed pop-Jazz debut album Rust&amp;Velvet (2005), was followed by the outstanding LP "On Shore Remain" (2008),&nbsp;&nbsp;in which the band cooperated with Producer/ keyboarder Eddie Stevens (Moloko, Roisin Murphy,Zero 7).&nbsp;</p> <p class="p3">In 2011 Ofri, under the name of <strong>OFRIN</strong>, began working on her solo project, <strong>THE BRINGER</strong>, writing both music and lyrics and producing for the first time in her career. If that wasn't enough, she has also designed and produced some mesmerising video clips and giant human-like masks , aka <strong>The Bringers</strong>, which have all combined into creating <strong>THE BRINGER</strong> on stage.&nbsp;</p> <p class="p3">Judging by the audience's response so far, the masks foster a moving, powerful experience, conveying a message of communication and connectivity in an age of laptop-induced alienation.&nbsp;</p> <p class="p2">&nbsp;OFRIN performed THE BRINGER on various stages: from the Pohoda summer festival in&nbsp;Slovakia (where the band performed along &nbsp;Portishead, M.I.A, Junip and others ) through a more intimate winter tour in Israel and all the way to the Babylon cinema in Berlin. This summer she intends to go into the studio with her team of talented musicians and record her new album with songs from THE BRINGER.</p> <p class="p2">&nbsp;Ofri says: "at the end of the day the combination of sound, video and movement relates to feelings we all share . The Project combine modern <span class="s1">pop with traditional folklore elements, acoustic percussions with electronica </span>and the power of a tribe with the strength and silent beauty of loneliness. When people come to me after the show and say they felt this energy of a group, of communication, then I know it was totally worth the effort to bring my new music to the audience" music is never easy to put into words, she comments and adds no more explanations of her modern tale.&nbsp;</p> <p class="p2">Then again, &nbsp;some things need no clarification , can just be felt .
