Maria Victoria Mata Soledad is a Venezuelan-American-Canadian dancer and choreographer, co-founder of MataDanZe and conSECUENCIAS collective. Victoria’s career was first sculpted by pedagogic, self-directed training, which proceeded with residencies and mentorships at the Banff Arts Centre, Counter Pulse, Ballet Creole, Aluna Theater, Danza Corpus with internationally renowned choreographers. Her interests lie in creating a dialogue between the performance and cultural memory.
