Oregon World War II Memorial
Salem, Oregon, United States
Oregon's World War II Memorial will honor those Oregonians who worked and served at home and abroad during World War II.
Oregon is one of only six states in the Nation without a WWII memorial to honor its resident veterans. In 2011, then Governor Ted Kulongoski and the Oregon Legislature formalized a task force and foundation, authorizing it to build an official memorial in Salem. Since then, the Oregon World War II Memorial Foundation has been working hard to raise money to build the memorial and unify the Oregon community to honor our WWII veterans and those who worked hard at home for the effort.
