My name is Zoltan Bod .I am 55 years old and have been working on cars and tinkering with all things mechanical for over 40 of those years. As a young child I would take my toys apart and then put them back together so as to work again.I built my first motorized trike at 14,then upon graduating highschool I proceeded to build a 1950 Austin radical custom rod pick up that became a show winner.Currently I freelance as a specialty auto restoration artizan.I enjoy science and researching new technologies.I love the unique mystique of exotic cars. They are however very energy hungry and to improve their performance they just keep adding more and more power. This is where I come in with a new philosopy about exotic cars...energy efficiency with performance and conservation....the eco exotic car...ZOLECO.My initial approach to reducing the energy requirements of the car are to reduce the aerodynamic drag as much as possible by utilizing the teardrop shape while maintaining an ergonomic design architecture. The full size design model that I have developed over the past 4 years was built in a very hands on approach...this is no computer model or generated image. It is for real.Based on this model the proof of concept Bonneville salt flats race car will be built. To show the huge benefits of reduced aero drag.... I have coined the campaign on the salt The Zoleco Challenge....to go 150mph and also be able to achieve 150 mpg at cruise speed. This is only the beginning for I plan on building DIY kits of the Zoleco and then transition into a street car version where we can experiment with numerous energy efficiency technologies and a completely new cylinder head design that will enhance the internal combustion engines level of thermal efficiency.
