<p><strong>Matt Runkle</strong> is a cartoonist, writer, and book artist. A former resident at the Cartoon Art Museum, his comics have been&nbsp;featured in Rob Kirby's <a href="http://www.robkirbycomics.com/Rob_Kirby_Comics/Three.html" target="_blank"><em>THREE #3</em></a> and&nbsp;<a href="http://sparkplugcomicbooks.com/shop/graphic-novels/gay-genius/" target="_blank"><em>Gay Genius</em></a>, an anthology published by Sparkplug Comic Books. <a href="http://www.dzancbooks.org/the-collagist/2011/12/13/warmth.html" target="_blank"><em>The Collagist</em></a>, <a href="http://bombsite.com/articles/6440">BOMBlog</a>, and <a href="http://monkeybicycle.net/columbus-was-named-for-the-dove/" target="_blank"><em>Monkeybicycle</em></a>&nbsp;have featured his writing, and Brooklyn Arts Press will publish a collection of his short fiction in 2013. He has taught workshops in fiction, comics art, visual narrative, sequential collage, and zines. He's performed at venues ranging from Brooklyn&rsquo;s Unnameable Books to San Francisco's SOMArts to the Headlands Center for the Arts.
