<p><strong>Matt Runkle</strong> is a cartoonist, writer, and book artist. A former resident at the Cartoon Art Museum, his comics have been featured in Rob Kirby's <a href="http://www.robkirbycomics.com/Rob_Kirby_Comics/Three.html" target="_blank"><em>THREE #3</em></a> and <a href="http://sparkplugcomicbooks.com/shop/graphic-novels/gay-genius/" target="_blank"><em>Gay Genius</em></a>, an anthology published by Sparkplug Comic Books. <a href="http://www.dzancbooks.org/the-collagist/2011/12/13/warmth.html" target="_blank"><em>The Collagist</em></a>, <a href="http://bombsite.com/articles/6440">BOMBlog</a>, and <a href="http://monkeybicycle.net/columbus-was-named-for-the-dove/" target="_blank"><em>Monkeybicycle</em></a> have featured his writing, and Brooklyn Arts Press will publish a collection of his short fiction in 2013. He has taught workshops in fiction, comics art, visual narrative, sequential collage, and zines. He's performed at venues ranging from Brooklyn’s Unnameable Books to San Francisco's SOMArts to the Headlands Center for the Arts.
