Anna Badkhen exposes through high art the world's iniquities by honoring the lives these iniquities most affect. Badkhen has lived and worked in the developing world most of her life. Her investigation into what it means to live in the Global South has yielded five books of literary nonfiction, most recently WALKING WITH ABEL (2015). Her writing has appeared in Granta, Harper's, Guernica, the New York Times, Foreign Policy, and other publications.
