Actor/Artistic Director

I've been putting on plays in my backyard since I was about 4. When people actually started watching them I knew I had figured out what I wanted to do with my life. I love Shakespeare, I love the Beatles and I love collaborating.

I just graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow with a Masters in Classical and Contemporary Text. It's a lot of words for what basically amounted in me spending a year learning about movement, voice and words - new ones and old ones. I got to perform on The Globe stage in London as well as a the small town of Ullapool at the tip-top of Scotland. Before that I lived in Washington, DC where I worked at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as a program coordinator for a free performance series (The Millennium Stage - a pretty cool program if I do say so myself) and acted at a bunch of different venues around town.

I've been in 3 fringe festival shows, 15 different Shakespeare productions, 6 seasons of summerstock, 4 touring children's shows and one proper British Panto that performed at 11pm, 1am and 3am last year (as well as several other works a little harder to define). When I was 10 years old I decided I wanted to make the world a better place, and I personally think that the arts is the only real way to help inspire people to work together to make it just that.*

*cheesy as that is - it's the truth - and anyone who wants to fight me on it just try - I'll play you some Shostakovich, quote a little Brecht and advise you watch a Martha Graham dance - I am confident you'll soon agree
