Conservation biologist
I originally worked for the Tambopata Macaw Project in SE Peru to gain a better understanding of the natural history of macaws in lowland Amazonian rainforests. When I realized that the human impacts on the habitat of these species were accelerating, I decided to undertake a PhD in conservation biology to enable a scientifically based evaluation of conservation management in the area. I'm currently working with The Australian National University.
