Filmmaker, cancer survivor, hockey fan
Originally from Erie, PA (Fairview, to be precise), I have worked in the film and television industry for 20 years. My first job was working on my professor's independent feature film between my junior and senior year at Penn State. I received my B.A. in film and video in 1992, and received my Master's degree in Directing and Producing from American University in 1998.

I produced an independent feature, Mary/Mary, which screened at over 20 film festivals and won several Best Feature awards in 2002 and 2003. My most recent film, the short mockumentary Cross-Eyed Dinner Theater Presents!, screened at five film festivals and was nominated for Best Comedy (a rare honor for a short film competing against feature films, too). I have worked over the years as a producer, director, writer, sound mixer, camera operator, assistant director and editor in Washington, DC and Los Angeles, CA.

It is nearly three years after completing my cancer treatment and I am in the middle of the biggest adventure of my life -- learning to play hockey and documenting the journey as a way to contribute to fighting cancer and to pay tribute to all the people who helped me during my battle against Hodgkins Lymphoma.
